quick que. 03si
ok so i was about to buy this 03 si from the dealer. everything was great but whenever you press in the clutch and release it it makes a very loud squeeky sound. he said it was because the person that had it before but a bunch of performance crap on the car and probably put a performance clutch in it and its too tight and its going to cost me problems
thats why he didn't want to sell me that modded one and was tryin to get me to buy a 100% stock 03 si for the same price??
you think that true that its to many problems or is it that its a new clutch needin to be broken into??
its not worth it to take the other one right

There was a service bulliton about a squeeky clutch pedal.
The clutch master cylinder spring is rubbing on the outer diameter of the piston when the pedal is pressed, or the master cylinder quick connect is moving.

but in the short run your going to be driving someone else's car.......way more fulfilling to mod your car exactly the way you want it in my opinion

What this guy said ^^^^
I had my clutch master cylinder replaced under warranty at about 20-25,000 miles. I already had suspension done on the car, and that didn't matter -- they still replaced it for me. I had NO other performance mods anywhere on the car at the time.
For the dealer to say "probably" means that they didn't really examine what the expletive they had. It wouldn't surprise me if most dealerships did this, but I wouldn't want that to happen if I ran a dealership. The original owner, if he can be contacted, should know exactly what's done to the car...
... IF anything was done at all.
I also suspect that the dealer could be bulshitting you, blaming an existing, documented problem (clutch master cylinder) on a typical aftermarket upgrade that may never have been done on this car.
My vote:
Hondas have always been able to take a beating, and if this one was maintained regularly, it's just fine. I also think that the dealership is trying to weasel its way out of replacing the clutch master cylinder.
Bust their *** and make them replace the clutch master cylinder. I'll buy you a pizza if the noise doesn't go away.
