Default eliminating IACV

I want to remove My IACV because im installin a direct port nitrous kit. that IACV is right in the way. is there any problem of doing this. i mean any major problems. i understand it will cause lower ideling under load, but anything major. thank you

you will probably get a check engine light, and also block off the fast idle under the throttle with some sort of gasket. loop the thermostate hose around. then it should work properly without fluctuating idle.

Take it off and try driving around and see what complications you have (I wouldn't do it personally....)

I didn't know the car would crank without the IACV. Doesn't it send a signal to the ignition?

if its blocked with a plate you probably wont notice any problems, maybe have to crack open the idle screw a bit.

If you wanted to fool the computer you leave the plug connected and tie the IAC out of the way somewhere (kinda jank but the comp. wont know)

your right. that what i did. took out the fitv an the iacv with no idle problems.
