Default new member needs help????

Hey guys my name is Jim I’m new to this whole car thing but I seem to be learning more everyday which I’m proud of. Well I have a few questions since I want to do a motor swap I have a B16A-1 motor and I want to drop it into an Integra? Which generation is lighter a 92 Integra gs or a 94 Integra ls? And if I were to drop into the 94 do I have to change my engine mounts or axles? I’m also purchasing ITR headers and cold air intake. That’s all I’m doing under the hood to get started off. Also do u guys have any idea on what I should be running with those few mods?

Thanks in advanced for the help.

get a 90-93 integra. ther alittle lighter, and the 90-91 is lighter then the 92-93. i like the da's body style, but get whatever you like. the lighter the better because the b16 has low torque. i would suggest to take the head and the pistons, and transmission and put them on the b18 and run an ls/vtec.(if you dont know what that is serch in the serch section.)

no, exept it wont be much of an upgrade from the b18 because of the torque loss. but once you hit vtec it will be better. But it will be a dog around the streets with no low end torque, anyway, i think the b16 sould just go right in.

it will drop straight into any 90-01 integra. a few things u need to be aware of is the difference beetween obd0, obd1, and obd2. theres differences beetween alternators, dizzy's, and injectors on most of these. its been a while since ive messed with b16's but i think the a1 that u have is obd0 correct me if im wrong people. 90-91 integras are obd0, 92-95's are obd1, and 96-01's are obd2. your obd0 motor will drop right into a 90-91 integra cuz the plugs for the dizzy, alt, and injectors are the same. all that u will have to do is add 3 wires for vtec pres, vtec switch, and knock sensor. if u get yerself a 92-95 integra yer gunna need to take the alt. and injectors off the motor u take out of it and put them on yer b16a1 motor. u will then have to get a dohc vtec dizzy from 92-95 gsr's or any dohc vtec del sol. the nice thing about obd1 is that u can run an ecu that doesnt require an knock sensor so it makes for less wires to run. GL with whatever u do sorry if all this jibber jabber made no sense im terrible at explaining things.
