Ok, just installed a jdm gauge cluster into my eg and once i started driving, I realized I can't read km/h is there an easy way to convert in your head what it read in km/h to a good estimate of mph or am i stuck with "uhh, i guess it feels like i'm going 35" followed by red and blue lights in my rear view?

 

put your usdm one back in, or change all the road signs to be jdm too.

 

80kmh=50 mph
180kmh=110 mph
120kmh=75 mph

thats all you really need to know.

mph is about 62.5% of kph

 

I have a jdm SiR cluster too, and it's not that hard at all. You only really need to know the 2 or 3 major speeds in your area.

For me,

-35mph speed limit --> 60km/h (about 38mph)
-70mph highway speed limit --> 113km/h

That's all i really need to know.

 

If you multiply by .62, you will come up with the conversion...

15mph = 24.14km

35mph = 56.33km

45mph = 72.42km

55mph = 88.51km

65mph = 104.61km

75mph = 120.70km

100mph = 160.93km

120mph =193.12km
