Default Omni Power Full Coilover Ride Quality

I just got some extra money from the accident I got in a few months ago and im probably gonna use it to buy the omni full coilover setup. As far as ride quality will it make too much of a difference with the sport set up over the street setup. The street setup the spring rates are 10k and 8k and the sports are 12k and 10k. Its gonna be a daily driver so what do you guys recommend????

if its just gonna be a daily and nothing more the 10k/8k ratings should do you good. the ride should be nice and smooth.

if you're upgrading from stock to omni's then no matter which you pick [I've driven on both set ups: street and sports] and they'll both be stiff and bumpy... I've gotten used to my 12k/10k sports... But I don't recommend them for someone who just wants a little stiffen suspension without all the exaggerated bumps. 10k/8k[though I thought they were 10k/6k] whould be fine.

My car really isnt fast enough to autocross although it would be fun. I do want a stiff suspension so that i dont really have to upgrade much in the future when i get more money. I just have to drive to Towson University everyday for school which is a 30+ mile commute one way and didnt want to regret the sport spring stiffness. Thanks for the advice.

10/8 is just fine for the street. 12/10 was a bit stiff for me. i like stiff, but for the street, the 12/10 was worse performing because the car would be off the ground sometimes. 10/8 is a great setup and is still good for jumping things.

my friend has the omni sports coilovers on his ek hatch, and its a horrible ride. lol. sitting in the back is a death wish (i sat in the back for an hour last night, and i felt like i was gonna crap my pants from all the bumps)

I realize that its not gonna be like a Caddy grandma suspension (those suck anyways) I just want good handling. Nothing can be worse than stock shocks slammed more than 3 inches with coilovers (a friend had them). I just dont want to be bouncing around. Thanks for all the imput

i have been on FLEX, GC, and OMNI. i think for the money, the OMNI is not bad at all. it works well and is a great performer on the street and track. its up to you what you want, but here's the thing. if it is too stiff for you, just change out the springs to a softer rate.
