need some help..is this normal??
whats up guys/girls
i need some opinions, and i figured who better to ask than the type r guys, do to all the track experience etc.
today i replaced both front lower balljoints, brand new rotors and pads up front, installed my traction bars, and got an alignment. everything is very close to factory spec.
i went out to attempt to have a brake-bedding session and im not quite sure if this is normal or not.
its occuring less, but when i brake there is a substantial "shaking"..what i've heard as "brake-shake". is this due to the new pads and rotors breaking in? i continued with the bedding session and it seems to be happening less frequently but i'm getting concerned.
can anyone lend me a hand? i've followed all instructions for the brake-bedding procedure from Zechuasuen Racing, who is a customer of mine, and i'm pretty confused.
thanks

yeah..its definently not the ABS...it feels like a warped rotor..but they are brand new! if anyone can give me some insight..id really appreciate it...im scared to drive the car like this
It means that there are uneven deposits on the surface of your rotors. You can repeat the bedding process (make sure you get the brakes VERY hot, so you can smell the pads, and make sure you don't touch the brakes from that point until you park it overnight). If you want, you can turn the rotors or replace the rotors before bedding.
You should read the following articles on the Stoptech website:
The "Warped" Brake Disc and Other Myths of the Braking System
Pad and Rotor Bed-In Theory, Definitions and Procedures (all sections)
Removal of Uneven Pad Deposits From Rotors Using Aggressive Friction Compounds
If you decide to do that last section, I think I have a set of new front Hawk Blue pads that I'd be willing to sell, shoot me an IM if you're interested...
