Fuel pump/filter longevity?
The car is a 92 Si Hatch, bought it at 238,111 miles. Did a B18b swap and now the car itself has 255,000. The fuel pump has never been touched and i doubt they were before either. So it probly has 255,000 miles on it. How long will it last or is there a certain time you should replace it just for maintenance?? Isnt there an in tank filter on the pump also? Can just that be replaced? Original motivation is from a more rough idle than normal. I've read through many threads and changed/cleaned just about everything related to a rough idle. i'm thinking maybe the pump itself because of age
just swap the whole thing out, costs like 80 bucks for a walbro unit and you will see the difference in the filters when you do the swap
yeah it might last for a million miles but if you have a pair of shoes that you wear for 3 years almost every day how useful are they gonna be with all that wear and tear?
