Default Lsd trannies

I'm looking to buy an lsd tranny, right now i want it for drag. i have a jdm b16a2 with ih and a gsr tranny. i would like to get a type-r, but i don't know which tranny is better. is there a difference in the lsd's (teg type r, civic type r, si, si-r/2). is there a gsr lsd? thanks in advance

JDM GSR = Optional LSD -Slightly longer gears
JDM SIR = Optional LSD - Same as 96-97 ITR, 96-98 CTR gears
JDM ITR = Comes Standard - Theres a 4.4 Final and a 4.7 Final

Search is your friend..

yes, I know it looks small.. just squint and bear it.

Yes, some SiR-G (jdm gsr) trannies came with an optional lsd. If your tranny is fine and doesnt grind any gears, I would consider buying an aftermarket (or oem is a cheap alternative) lsd and having it installed.

If you go with an aftermarket LSD, I can reccomend ONLY Quaife. Theres are great, I don';t think ive heard a single complaint about them. DONT get a Kaaz LSD thingy.

why do you have a GSR tranny if you want to drag?? doesnt the SiR tranny present shorter (and of course more favorable) gearing?

I agree. If you're going for dragging, you don't want the GSR tranny. A B16 just falls out of it's powerband. Just go with a CTR, or Si-R. Something made for a B16
