question for friend
friend bougt an 04 lx with no intentions of hooking it up...now he is into the import scene and wants some power. I don't know much about the newer civics....
04 civic lx with an intake
says that greddy has a turbo for it but i keep telling him to turn it in and get something more compatible with the scene.
Does anyone have any info for this dude? I don't think that putting a 3k$ turbo on his lx will make him as happy as he thinks.

nothing will really make you happy with that motor....swap it! i mean a f/i setup would be you best bet if you wanna keep that car and if you want to keep it reasonably cheap, but if you can, throw in a k series, then boost it......he'll prolly be happy with the car, just not the bank statement
i dunno, the d17 aint so hot but it would be pretty quick with that kit. But for 3k you could swap in a b18 and boost it. Then youd have parts galore.
I always think it's a good idea to know how to drive your car to its limits before doing anything to build up its speed. What's the use of the speed if you can't handle it?
Civics don't tend to handle so hot, maybe dropping it + a firmer suspension?
