Default Engine builder's please chime in!

well i have someone very interested in my old D16A1 block that has been in my shed for 2 years. i never actually took it apart to see how much damage it took the day the HG went and melted the head and some of the block. well turns out the #3 piston took alot of heat and scored the wall up but looks like it can be honed no prob. the others look like they also could have some issues so i am going to replace the set of pistons and rings with a fresh hone job. my question is will the area that was melted have any effect on the sleeve. or HG issues. it looks like it will seal ok since it didn't hurt the sleeve.

BTW they are JG sleeves at 75.5mm

i hear ya. i just don't want to sell it if it is gonna cause a problem. if i had another block i would just swap everything over.

that looks pretty deep, i think if you decked it that much, youd have to address the piston issue... piston to valve clearance, compression ratio, etc. if you decked it htat much it looks like the piston will stick out of the bore a good bit
