pulling taillights ...
i realized this weekend that i'm not 18 years old any more and need to grow up and put my standard taillights back on as these white ones look ridiculous. my friend put them on for me in college and i've never pulled one before .... how do i get these brown things off? they don't appear to just "snap" off ... i was hesitant to try too hard as i didn't want to break them. my IQ when it comes to cars is about 70
they should just slide right off, mine did!! if not try using some plyers to get a little more grip on em. DON"T clamp down on em. shouldn't be as hard as you are describing though
They just push over the studs they're located on. The two tabs that rest on the side of the stud are what hold them on. If you've got a small knife and a little manual dexterity, you can release them by gently prying them away from the stud. In some cases a gentle tug will get them loose.

Nope, under those Wiring Harness quides are several of the studs which bolt the taillamps to the body.
If you've got the OEM style lamps which are to replace these, give them a look over. They will give you an idea where all the mounting studs are.
Unlike the front Headlamps of a lot of Honda's, the rear tail lamps very seldom require getting anything but the inner trunk trim panels out of the way.
