Default Mirror help...again

Hi I can't seem to get any replies so I'll try again. My 93 Del Sol SI's driver side mirror rattles and vibrates(the top half). I DID find out that the hardware to tighten it is behind the mirror itself. However, I don't know how to remove the mirror. Please help.

Well to remove the mirror glass on a Honda you have to pry the mirror glass back at the top carefully with your fingers and then the plastic backing of the mirror snaps on to the pivot ball of the mirror rod and it has a metal ring that holds the mirror glass firmly over the pivot ball, so you will need to get a pick or a flat bladed screw driver on it and either spread the ring or remove it(I can't remember) then you should be able to remove the mirror glass pretty easy. Then when you install it put the metal ring back on the plastic backing first and lube up the pivot point with some silicone grease or lithium grease and you should be good, you might need to put a screw driver behind the pivot rod for support when trying to snap the mirror glass back in. Hope this helps.

thx for posting. I wasn't sure and I didn't want to break anything trying. But this helps a ton. When it's light out tomorrow I'll check it out. Thanks again.
