Default 93 civic ex got cheap need suspension and technical help!

This car has a body kit on it since the pics I debaged the "white" Honda emblems, took the mesh out in a desperate attempt to unrice it. THe supension is toast. My question is with the maxspeed coilovers that came with car cranked up all the way the car looks higher than its supposed to be. In other words if I park next to a stock civic the wheel gap is insane. I can fit the whole hand and then some in the wheel gap. I am unsure how low a stock civic with a mild bodykit appears to be. I hate the bodykit but Im not going to take it off because the car is a beater.
If i got oem springs I wonder how "low" it would be. I need a spring/strut combo that will give the car a normal stance not a 4x4 look and not bottom out.
I dont have a stock supension so I have no baseline. In my eyes the maxspeeds are far worse han stock.
I hear that the tokico springs, advertised at 1.5 dont drop your car at all or very little. Ive searched and searched and everyone has thier opinions and I feel as though I am a exception to my inherited rice. What do you reccomend for backroad city and highway driving?

HELP!!

kinda ricey looking...
$1000 might be a good beater, but it might not be worth the hassel of rice

im looking for ideas on what to do...not to do all kinds of leg work to lose money or break even.

is this too ricey? is it worth dumping $1000 in parts into? will I get that money back?

okay well no matter what car your gonna have to do a tune-up and change a timing belt on any car so thats not money wasted. struts are another thing that sooner or later will need to changed. if your gonna keep it for a beater is the sunroof that big of a deal. also 140k on a honda isnt bad as long as the maintainence is kept up.

my hatchback has 222k miles on it and it's still kickin very nicely. in my point of view you still have a good motor. i would buy a new front and rear bumper (oem that is), get a new suspension (maxspeed sucks monkey *****), and a new motor if you want more speed. d16z6 is a good motor though, but b16a2 is better. i think you'll have more fun with a swap.

If i get a OEM front and Rear bumper and get it back to stock thats money wasted in in my opinion that could be routed elsewhere. Id be better of getting one that was stock to begin with. How do you feel about me debaging the "white" honda emblems. Getting a kyb gr2 over h&r drop, new honda tbelt and waterpump and a set of either newer civc rims of a clean set of 16 or 17" aluminum wheels. It will look clean"er". Option 2 would be to paint the mesh grills white, get the ebay redclears (the ones that look stock not super clear", and a adjust me already blown struts down all the way for looks Then get a set of white ADR Revolution rims a small tuneup and sell it as a rice rice baby to some kid...
I did a carfax....6 owners...pulled the valve cover over off the Tbelt looks original I can see cracks on it. That will need to be done asap.

6 owners! that car gets around! If i were i wouldn't try to rice it out and sell it. Try to sell it how it is and let someone else make the decisions. If I were you I would either leave it how it is and just do the maintenence and sell it, or change everything and keep it for a long time. Based on the fact it has had 6 owners, I think you are an idiot for even taking it. there has to be something wrong with it for it to go around that much. Not to mention the re-sell value is gonna be a lot lower now because you are the 7th owner!

Yes 6 owners. It had the same one till 120K, then there 4 other registations all in the same town and my friend..till 139k now its my driveway. It looks alot simpler to work on than my maxima and I had my friend take it down the street for inspection before we traded. It did pass with no issues so It cant be THAT BAD.

whats a cleaned up honda with light mods and 150k on it worth. Could I get 2 grandish returned to its glory?

Still no idea what I want to do.

i paid 2200 for my first civic, it was a 95 dx with alot of dents, and 143000 miles on it...if you put the oem bumpers back on it this car could go for 2500-3000
