Default spring question

after changing the lowering springs back to the oem springs how come the car is higher than any other civic with stock springs?

Maybe you have integra stock springs.

they aren't new but just haven't had them on a car for a few yrs

it may take a day or two for them to settle,
also are you sure they are oem civic springs?

does that mean the springs will eventually sag? cause the wheel gap is quite big... it's about 4 fingers gap

I think 4 fingers wheel gap is pretty normal on stock springs. Maybe you are just used to looking at a lowered civic and have forgotten what stock height looks like.
