Don't drive around with that stuff in your oil. You are suppose to just idle the engine for a few minutes after adding Seafoam, then drain it. By the way, there are 3 ways you can use Seafoam
1. Add to oil just before changing
2. Add to gasoline.
3. With engine running, pour (slowly) into a vacuum line (brake booster works best). Do this until the engine sounds like it's about to stall, then stop until the idle smoothes out. Repeat this several times, then shut off the engine for 5-10 minutes. Then get in, go for a drive, and have fun smoking up your neighborhood!

Thanks that save me some time.
Just use water to clean the inside of your engine, its like steam cleaning the inside. And before anyone replys about hydrolocking your engine this way, please search on this topic.
If you really want to use seafoam, suck it up through the vacuum.
Seaform will break down sluge but where do you think that sludge will end up ? Its not all going to come out the oil pan, and the filter will only catch some of it.

i use to work where we just sold seafoam peropid I thought you put it in your gas tank but maybe there is another kind for oil too. yes its supposed to smoke and then idle really good no break ups anymore kool im glad seafoam worked out for ya .
really got me wondering about running it in the crankcase now after reading that first thread... i checked out seafoams web site and it said nothing about having to change your oil afterwards so i changed my oil than added seafoam....
should i change the oil again before i put it on the road... i went for a short ride cuz i got no plate on it and it seemed to run and idle smoth but not im nervouse

ive used seafoam a few times... each time i divide up the bottle... i put about 1//4 in the gas tank to keep the fuel system clean, 1/4 in the oil to keep the crankcase clean, and then i use the 1/2 bottle thats left in the brake booster line BUT i pour a 1/4 in with the motor running and once the motor is warmed up to operatiing temp i pour the rest in with the motor OFF... this helps by sitting on top of the valves while theyre closed and does a better job of cleaning all the carbon off of them... its usually a little hard to start for a few minutes but it will eventually start and smoke a lot... my motor runs fine and has about 110k miles on it... all the horror stories you hear are actually cases where that problem was going to happen soon anyways but the seafoam just made it happen then and there... seafoam
