oil change question
I just got my oil change on my b18c1 and i had my Mobil 1 Oil running for 5,000 miles and man it took forever to warm up. On the side note: I drive with SPIRIT . Is it true that when you have new oil that your car warms up faster? My civic is modded with this b18. Now my car feels good!

I think the idea that your car warms faster with newer oil is mostly false. There might be a slight effect from additive breakdown, but I would consider it neglegible depending on how broken down the oil is. Engine coolant is designed to not only keep the engine from overheating, but also has properties to help the engine reach OT as quickly as possible, so I would say coolant condition has more to do with engine heating than oil condition. Another piece of supporting evidence is the fact that RSX-S's have an oil-to-coolant oil cooler which I've heard also helps heat the oil when the engine is cold. Hope this helps.

I have heard that your car warms up faster when you leave the heater off when you cold start it.
