B16 CRX Owners.. Please read!!!
I had a few Q's, so please take some time here...
I am currently runing the HCP moto mounts and it looks like i have good amount of space to place the Turbo manifold on. (BTW Im using a 99-00 Greddy Si Kit)
The main thing that comes to concern is what im going to do about the DP.
I know Place Racing is coming out with a cross member but i know there are ways to do this without buying more crap. (i have put too much money in this motor)
I was thinking i can put a 4 lbs hammer to it till it fits....Kinda ghetto though.
Another problem i see myself running into is the IC piping, and how im going to run it.
basically, from the snail down, it will be a 90 degree bend towards the driver side firewall. Then essentially it goes int the "U" bend.
Thing about that is where the "U" bend is supposed to go, there is frame and nothing else. I was thinking i could drill a 2.75 inch hold in it and slide the 2.25 IC piping through it, but i dont know if thats such a good idea.
What have you guys done?
Is there a way you can draw me a simple diagram of what was done to your CRX's??
Thanks
Chris

yes, but we're only N/A because we're broke from the swap. At least I am.
sorry man, no help on the charge pipes, do a search on the internet, there are some ZC CRX's with Greddy turbo kits too.

N/A here. I am a die-hard N/A fan. Everything else sucks. Ok, I lied. I would kill to have a turbo or SC. I would probabally wet my pants just knowing of the power I had under my hood. But like said before, "I am still broke from the swap"
So N/A is my only choice.

um, NA cars possibly require almost more weekly tuning than a turbo. i have an individual throttle body setup for my b16a, not installed yet, and will have fun tuning that!

Thanks for you grown up responces.
I really enjoyed this thread. Seeing how this forum is no different than than "SOME" of the ******* idiots CLUBSI.COM has.
As for those who replied trying, THANK!
As far as those who bash turbos, great, thanks for your opinion BUT I NEVER ASKED.
I asked a simple Q.. and got the dumbest Answers.

Yeah man this bored is prett much turning to ****, no one likes anything anymore and if u ask about something they will tell u to get something else blah blah oh well alot of people on this bored still rock though
I am not sure of the placement of your Engine with the mount kit. But there are a few things you can do to make the turbo kit fit.
First thing...DONT GET A PLACE RACING CROSSMEMBER!! They are peices of ****. They are very weak and will break on you. You are better off beating the **** out of the stock one. Now Z10 makes one that I am planning on buying but the only down side is the 500 price tag. There is a nother company that makes one but I don't know anything about it.
For more room up front if you don't have A/C you can move your old AC cooling
fan over and bend a few tabs and you will creat a bit more room up front. The fan even plugs rigth into the stock Cooling fan plug. Another thing to free up room is relocate the battery. And one more thing to help with the DP is you can have a custom one made that will bind tighter to the engine/oil pan. Good luck!
For the IC piping remove your Coolent overflow and relocate it. You will see a hole going into the area infront of them washer fluid components. I ran mine up through there and around to the my FMIC. It's a tigh fit and If you want I can send you some pics of my setup. Or if someone could post them for me that would be cool.
