Default Which year EG hatch is best?

i am looking into the market for one but dont know which model and year to get. which would be best? i dont care about weight issues. i just want a stock but good safety rated one. i heard that the 95 Si is the better one? i also like the fact that it has front and rear discs. just a good daily driver. which is the better year and model? thanks

i thought the 94-95 was better because of the ecu. not really sure though. as far as leather interior goes, you can always get black gsr interior

92-93 no passenger airbags, while 94-95 did in regards to your safety question.

92 is the best. All models have a pre-wired vtec chassis harness, no passenger airbag, incrementally lighter (well, the weights went up in 94, so that is more of a 92-93 benefit)

92-93 also has the all black bumper grilles and black lower rear bumper lip.

the newest would be a 95 of your choice,...get an SI if you want more out of the box performance such as power mirror, sunroof, brake disc, better interior.
If you want to save gas and save alittle weight get the VX

If you simply want to buy a shell and do a engine swab, all yr and model are all perfect.

92-95 civics are all the same because they suck.

honestly think about it, other than the way they look, they handle like ***, they are slow as hell. they suck as sportscars all the same as eachother

the one thing they have is the massive aftermarket, which makes them AWESOME!!!

but by themselves 92-95 civics are lame as hell, so in the end, all aftermarket parts fit on all models, so its just good to have one in general, not one specific year.

that makes drunk sense, i guess...

i have a 92 si... and what you have to look for is if you want a car with AC your guna have to get the EG that is made in america the ones in canada dnt have them.. atleast the 92.. but they do come with the black dash..although the 95 dash comes black but also comes with a passenger airbag.. the model you do not want unless you plan on swapping is a cx,dx they are just less quality.. cheap cloth, grey interiot,no AC, no power,

i have a 92 si hatch (here in canada) and i had a 93 cx hatch before that.

my 92 si doesnt have AC ( it come on only about 1-20 as an option), has cruise, power mirrors, sunroof, power steering (which the CX didnt have unless it was like the special edition or something).

it also ahs black interior and nicer interior than my CX, but my CX had black dash and door panels, but the seats and stuff were gray. i like my 92 si better.

OH YEAH, my 92 si doesnt have drivers OR passenger airbags, it was on the 93+ si models cause my 93 CX didnt have air bags either

92 SI is the way to go, just look for one that some old white lady used to own... thats what i did. that car was in perfect runnin condition. plus the si's got many more options then the dx, cx, vx etc... such as, power mirrors, cruise control, sun roof, it's got the si interior, the door panels come with pockets, gauges comes with a tach, d16z6, disc brakes all around, uhh and its a sweet a car. i jus slapped on sum hx rims on it so i can show of the rear disc brakes. thats a cool daily driver. then u can add and jdm goodies on it later, whatever floats your boat!

pS: dnt let your brother near your car if he has a spray can in his hand!!

ps: i know those arent tha hx rims, i jus put sum 18's on it for ***** n giggles on day. dnt worry i took them off! too big for the hatch, it made it feel slower. Peace!!

ohh yea i had some free time and photoshoped this, not bad i say...

94-95 si is the way to go if you like factory options, these to years came with the most. if you just want a hatch to do a swap any will work but 92-93 can. models have the dash wiring for vtec, oil, knock(Ithink) , and 92-95 vx models come with vtec, oil, knock all the way to the engine. 92- 95 si have vtec, oil, no knock all the way to the engine. also 92-95 si comes with a p28 which can be chipped cheap and easily to run swaps. hope this helps , if any of this is wrong im sure ill be corrected harshly. and yes the first sentence is true.

also 92-95 vx and si have factory tachs in the cluster, so no need for the ghettometer monster tach on the dash, unless your into that. but then again alot of people still buy them even if they have a factory tach, im not sure why unless people just want to ***** out tachs like lcd screens. you know under the hood, behind your wheels, in the trunk, in the spare tire well, in the rear windows facing outward. hahahahaha i chuckle. sorry that had nothing to do with your question.

all civic is not the same everything is differnt there is no one civic that will have any thing in common other than year/model etc. cx some comes in leather seat missing the rite mirror,si sunroof,4 wheel disk, abs, etc,dx maybe tach rear wiper etc, you get the idea just my 2 cents
