Did you drain any coolant out?

Double check your install to be sure you didn't mess up the little hose that connects to your breather pipe that you installed back into the new intake (you did do that didn't you?)

the instruction came in the box so i follow the procedures... im pretty sure i plug in the hoses in the right places.. do u think its a possibility that there is a opening in the coolant box so it leaks out.. and the fluid doesnt circulate properly.. i have a feeling it might be that or i dont know..help me out once more.. thanks..

If you drained some of the coolant (some CAIs require this) and didn't loosen the air bleed bolt when replacing it. Air in the system can cause overheating.

I would drain the coolant and refill with the air bleed bolt loosened (bolt on block near where the top radiator hose is). To eliminate that as the cause of overheating. Air getting trapped in the system can prevent the coolant from circulating.

I've never seen a cold air intake require that. Can you explain some? It doesn't make much sense but mabye I missed the point.
