turn the key and nothing...then turn it again and it starts?

Default turn the key and nothing...then turn it again and it starts?

exactly as the title says...usually about 3 times itll be nothing and then itll start...i do nothing different and it happens very randomly...on top of that my car dies when i come to stop but maybe both of my problems are linked...so wut causes this particular one? lol

maybe u have a short some where in your harness for the stater signal?just a guess

could it have anything to do with the dizzy? cuz i heard my other problem could be the ignitor or something...ill find out after i get my iacv from acura for that one...but it would make sense i guess cuz its also called the ignition control module i believe...guh i dunno...i jus hope i get this damm thing fixed soon cuz im drivin a POS since this isnt running and i miss my power

yea it could be the ignitor fixing to take a ****!try testing the coil too

Well does the car crank when u turn the key the first few times? If it cranks but doesnt start up, then yes could be main relay. If it doesnt even crank, then its a different problem such as battery connections, starter connections, and maybe even the electrical portion on the back of the key tumbler.

either main relay or the ignition switch is worn out. pull the main relay and try to solder it. there's a how-to somewhere, search for it.

another thing is to check your connection at your battery terminal. my positive terminal wasnt too good anymore and wasnt staying tight. replaced it, and i didnt have that problem anymore

i got a new main relay so thas not the problem... the old was worn out cuz the fuel pump doesnt sound as strong comin on with that one...any1 know where the coil test write up is? i cant find it anywhere and im pretty sure its my problem...oh yeah anotherthing...ever since ive had this car its had the nifty ability to take the key out whenever i want...like i could start it in the morning for work...take the key out and lock it and go bak inside...could it have anything to do wit hthat?

my crx used to do this. come to find out all it was just a loose cable on the starter. just tightned it down and it never did it again.

look on top of your clutch pedal there is a switch push you're pedal in and cee if the switch is going all the way in...i have that problem in my EG i wiggle the pedal with my foot (about 2mm back and forth) while turning the key on, works like a charm
