who much power? Havent found a setup like this before..
Hi!!
im building a LS/vtec engine.. havent thought very much about how much power I will get, and maybe you can take a guess...
setup:
81mm LS block with LS crank
CTR PCT pistons
Eagle rod
fully ported PR3 head with 3 angel on intake and raidius on ex.
Skunk2 stage2 cams, with adjust. gears.
AEBS intake with 70mm TB
Custom Header built from the spec. on the cams.
Im going to run on 85% ethanol an 15% 98oct gas. Rev limit will be 9k rpm
a good tunig hopfully..
what do you think? 220 engine Hp possible??
(plz oversee my spelling and grammer..

you might wanna read Lip's stickied thread at the top of the allmotor forum about guessing hp and 1/4 mile threads.
other than that, screw the hp numbers, they don't mean anything just looking for that number. where do you want your peak tq, and how broad of a curve do you want in relation to peak tq and peak hp. that setup is only gonna look good on paper, especially with that oversized throttle body, and your not sure yet what kind of header specs to run with that setup. Full exhaust, open header? if you want a 70mm throttle body, then get one that tapers down to 65mm at the throttle plate. better yet, try a stock 1.8L first, and find power where you need it.
do some research on shiftpoints concerning gear ratios and powerband. Just trying to save you hundreds to thousands of dollars.
