hey just got done with a Jdm b20 swap in a 89 Dx hatch. well its converted to obd1 and we used 92-up style injectors, and used all the Obd2 sensors like the dizzy, well we only have one check engine light after we started the car code 43, its got a wierd idle, but runs and revs up good, but has no power. its got a skunk 2 intake, Jdb b16 throttle body, aem fuel rail, header, new plugs, wires, everything is brand new. well anyone ran into this before, oh its got a P8R head.

 

i did, when i first put in my ls/vtec i had check engine light on too..and i raced my brother's sohc zc swap crx and he hung with me and pass me up on 4th gear..lol..NO VTEC!..but everything was solved and check engine light is gone and now he won't run me cause my vtec is actually engaging...i was told the car could run on safe mode and all the power won't come out when check engine light comes on..FIRST OF ALL fix your check engine light and then see if u get power

 

check engine light comes on after about 5 minutes, and its slow with no check engine light, throws a code 43

 

Depending on the problem, the ECU will sometimes go into "limp" mode. In some cases, like a bad 02 sensor, the ECU will run extra-rich maps without the limp mode. Limp mode means you can't rev past 3 grand and the ECU LED is solid (obd0).

 

NOTE its odb1 and its not throwing a code till about 5 to 10 mins of run time, throwing a code 43
Its slower than my z6 hatch whens there no check engine light.
