96 Civic 1.6 sohc V-tec . Put a Integra 98 1.6 sohc V-Tec engine and tranny in my 96 civic , check engine light was on so brang it to Auto Zone pulled codes Po007 tranny ??? , also code for( Ait ) Air Intake Temp sensor . also secondary o2 sensor . Since drove car about 25 miles started bogging out . Could this be from these Sensors or something else ?? Did not change out computer it is for a 96 civic 1.6 Sohc V-Tec . Do i need to change Computer too ?? Please any advice is appreaciated . Going crazy put too much money into car one thing after another !!!

 

No 98 Integras came with SOHC engines or 1.6 engines...at least in America

 

OK , well it is a 1.6 SOHC V-Tec . not sure what is going on with car ??? but need fixed A S A P . Bought a sensor (ait) but dont look familiar ?? Where is this sensor located .?????

 

also what would cause the tranny code to show in computer ?? Tranny bangs going into and out of first gear ??? After its ok in all other gears .

determine 1st what engine you installed... is it obd1 or obd2 ? and did you use all your 96 wiring and sensors on the replacement motor/tranny ? is it auto or 5spd ? why was the original motor pulled ?

 

are you sure it is a 1.6 sohc VTEC engine?...because its not a stock 98 integra engine

 

Integras are 1.8 dohc.

 

he established that it was was 1.6 liter. do us a favor and look at your engine code, left of the header and behind the radiator and in the general area below your dizzy. then get back to us

I installed a obd2 d16y8 engine 1.6 Vtec came out a 98 civic . used Y8 harness .

 

About all the posts , was nt sure if i posted in right place when i got no responce sorry for the inconvience . Hard having a car u cant drive and not know whats wrong with it , after spending $ 1500. to put Motor and tranny dont want to deal with anymore problems .

Ok established engine d16y8 1.6 sohc vtec from 98 civic , Bought (AIT) sensor for this year engine but still not sure where it hooks up ??? does anyone have a pinout of this y8 intake to further assist me ??
