the eg sir2 swap is the easiest. do it yourself. the hardest part i think is converting it from a 5 wire o2 to a 4 wire o2. and even that isnt too bad. there is enough info on here to make it a weekend project. if you get the complete swap, there should be no issues.

when i did mine all i did was a 92-95 ex/si harness and dropped it straight in (along with wiring the knock sensor). The vx will need the vtec wire extended from the shock tower if you use that harness, along with a knock sensor wire.

Its really easy....

the eg sir2 swap is easy. do it your self, just read on how to convert wires for the o2 sensor (i dont know how i didnt have to do it on my dx). i noticed you typed b18 for the motor. it is actually a b16a and i love mine, so i think you be pleased with yours.

if its a complete swap you dont need anything. except you know the 4 wire o2 instead of 5 wire.

no offense if you got a usdm b16, i would hate it too. the jdm one has 170hp, same as the usdm gsr's, and a limited slip differential. atleast mine does.

yeah im happy w/ my b16... lsd is nice, and the hp is up there, i just wish i got the gsr for tq... plus the 1.8ltr boosts better b/ of the displacement.

All in all i would say i am very pleased w/ my b16, it keeps up w/ h22 preludes all day

dx, you dont need to do the 5 to 4 wire, it should be four wires already, so it's direct, just gotta wire vtec

i like my jdm b16, it's nice, i'm not gonna complain, and yea, i could've gotten a gsr for more power, but this will do me for now, until i boost

INCORRECT The OP has a VX and those used 5-wire O2 sensors. I ran mine 5-wire for the longest time not knowing about it.

I so regret not getting a GSR, even a LS

No replacement for displacement. Even if its only 1.6 vs. 1.8

yes the stock B16 mounts will work in your hatch you dont need GSR mounts... everyone has been saying all you need is to convert the 5 wire o2 to 4 wire o2
