I was just under my car and noticed that the trans is covered in grease and fluid. Where could this be comming from? Here are some pics I took.
I forgot to add, the car is garaged every night and there is no oil spots on the ground.

Check the drain and fill plugs.

It actually looks like the grease that is put in the cv boots.

I agree with The King Pin and also suggest checking for a torn CV boot. It looks like the grease has been thrown from the boot.
Also looks like some oil in places, which usually comes from sloppy oil changes.

I forgot to add, the car is garaged every night and has never had oil/fluid spots on the ground.
That oil/grease on the other side of the trans drain/fill plugs as well.

Yep. I say check for boot.
Its an easy replace - if you can't find a tear, see if its not tight enough.

I have that same exact leak and after removing the tranny and doing a lot of inspection it appears to be coming from the 'shift arm cover'....number 6 in this picture---.

There are a few oil seals and such in there that I plan to replace in the future...maybe that's where your leak is also because it's DEFINATELY not axle grease...

^^That area is relatively clean, Im wondering if the cam seal could be to blame for the oil residue. There is oil residue where the yellow arrows are pointing.
