FS: Going turbo on Built H22...need some advice
Debating whether to go buy just a turbo kit, or piece it doing custom turbo...if i do a custom turbo setup, is it really worth it to save money? Need some help on this. Bought the apexi GTR Core already, pretty much i was thinking i just need the t3/t4 turbo, manifold, downpipe, wastegate, flanges, hoses and fittings, all the other parts like the bov, etc thats not a problem.
i don't think piecing your own kit together saves money, it just lets you pick all the stuff out yourself. i.e. tial wastegate instead of deltagate, greddy bov instead of turbonetics, apex ic instead of spearco etc. actually, i think it'll cost more to piece a kit together especially if you pick all the high quality stuff.
btw: how is your H22 built?

How much did it cost to get it built? Did you re-sleeve the block? Especially with the previous threads about the nikelsile coating on the cylinder walls, I'm very curious if you addressed that issue. Thanks.

Micropolish crank
Crower rods
araias 9:1 pistons
sleeved iron ductiles (iron sleeved bottom end, you have to do this if you put in aftermarket parts)

stainless steel valves
stiffer spring
