Default Attempted theft... what parts do I need to replace?

Someone tried to steal my car last night... and they jacked the steering column up. Well, at least the ignition part. It looks like they tried to use a screwdriver to start it... so now I can't put the key in to start the car.

What parts do I need exactly to replace it?

Reference to part numbers from this page: http://www.hondaautomotivepart...OLUMN

Would be great, as well as anymore tips and advice on what I can do to replace it. Thanks!

You don't have theft insurance?

Same **** happened to my car thursday night. My car is currently awaiting to be fixed by a Honda dealership. (Glad I have insurance)

I don't know how severe your damage is, but my entire steering column needs to be replaced. Post a picture of what they did to yours and we'll be able to tell you what you need to replace better.

Since I do not have a suspect, the cost of the insurance rise for going through my insurance is not worth it. Considering they stole $100 worth of audio and broke my ignition stuff... I got pretty lucky.

that is not called having insurance if indeed your claim rep told you this inregards to having full coverage.

you dont need to have a suspect let alone any information. under most full coverage plans it is already covered through comprehensive coverage. so you need to speak to your rep you could be wasting alot of money for nothing. plus they can tell you within minutes whether or not your insurance will go up or not...you do have a right to know if putting a certain claim into your insurance and to know if that will cause your insurance rate to go up..... also your previous driving record also has a say in it aswell as the number of claims you have put in. example you cant expect your insurance not to go up if you have 10 claims of property damage..

It also depends on how much his deductible is. It might not be worth claiming if his deductible is over $300 and the damage is only around 100-299.

This is true. My deductible is $100, and all the steering column **** alone costs about $350ish. Then on top of that they stole my wheels and tires leaving the car on cinder blocks so that also uped the price of the "damages."
