100 ron fuel now in Aus
just wondering if anyone in australia (victoria) is using the new
Shell Optimate extreme 100 octane
i've called up shell and honda due to the fact the fuel contains 5% ethanol
honda in australia states that they have tested on a 00itr using fuel containing 10% ethanol and found no problems, however so they do not guarantee anything long term effects it may cause.
just wondering what you guys think?
i found a slight power improvement, particularly throttle response and slightly more milage 20 -30 kms a tank

There should be no concerns about using fuel containing up to 10 percent ethanol. That's what we have in most of the big metropolitan areas in the United States - it's mandated by the federal Environmental Protection Agency for such areas, because it burns cleaner, for less air pollution - and it doesn't cause any fuel-related problems.
I haven't used it yet. I didn't know about it until now. But I'll definately give it a try. I was actually using BP ultimate all the time before rather than shell
