LSvtec idle problem

Default LSvtec idle problem

ok i have a 1996 civic Ex with a lsvtec swap.im am running a jumper with a stock p28.the car will not idle or run under 3k rpm.if i start the car and hold the gas it will run fine over 3k rpm.anyone has any suggestions thanks

Are you using an aftermarket chip or stock ecu?? Did you check the iac valve to make sure it was clean with no carbon deposit? It sound like the iac is not working correctly.

check your throttle cable, im pretty sure you made it too tight.

check you cable like he said or check the vacuum hoses i had the same problem a week ago and the hose on the intake manifold closest to the driver side on the back of the manifold wasent hooked up. it goes from the heater core to the manifold.

throttle cable is good and i hooked up the vaccum hose on the back and still the same problem.when i start the car is sputters and misses real bad but if i rev it over 3k its ok.its very weird

you can't run a stock p28 on an lsvtec you need to get the p28 reprogrammed
