hey guys i have a question. my dad is going to let me have a limt of 11k to get a car and the only way is honda for me. what would you go with and rsx or an Si. i what the best all round but i dont know which one to get. any input would be great thanks.

Isn't the Skyline going to be +80g's...
I personally like the style of the RSX... But if your going to get the RSX why not use a few more g's to get the Type S... thats IMHO.... But I heard that the 06 Si was suppose to be a really good car... Never tested it personally nor have I ever seen it so if I ever test drove it then I might say something otherwise... but either way I sure your not going to be disappointed with either car. 11k to spend on gettin a car total
or
11k to help you buy a car with whatever money you have

11k MIGHT get you a high mileage base rsx, but again even if you can pay for the car itself the insurance might completely dominate you

for the si, with the 11k i think you are talkin about the 99-00 si's
those cars are nice imo, and you should be able to find one around that price if you shop enough.

if you do come from a semi-wealthy family and arent too worried about insurance and whatnot, try for the rsx, sure it doesnt have the vtec that we are used to but overall its a much better car then the old si's much safer, better interior.. etc.

 

yeah, u will have a hard time finding the 02-05 Si's or a 2002+ RSX for 11 grand. u will be looking at the 99-00 Si's or GSR's
i have an 02 SI and i wont take anything less than 14 for it,(mods included) although if u go on ephatch.com there are some in the 12 and 13k range.

 

with $11k, i'd probably go with a 99-00 Si, 02 EP3 Si (if you can find one), or a GSR

 

yeah, with $11,000 i would go for the 2000 civic Si coupe if i were you

 

I think he meant he's looking to purchase a new one and the 11k will be the down payment

 

see if u can find a type s for 11k if u can id go with it and it will be a long time before you can find the new si for 11k

all these people that say they cant be had for under 11k are idiots. I have the option to fly where every i please for free so when i look for cars i search the entire usa... When i looked for an ep3 they can be had for 9k-10 fairly easy... The rsx type s version ive seen a few go for around 12k in the texas area. dont get a 99-00 si the b series is old technology and unless u want it to be stolen every month then go for it.. Also dont do payments, I have never touched a payment (paid 13k cash for car) my friends have payments and all they do is bitch everyday about money but i am pretty well set on the financial plan i have taken.

I'd be pretty well set on the financial plan too, if Daddy was going to buy me a car. Unfortunately Daddy didnt do this for me.

Daddy works for united so i fly for free and its actually anywhere in the world but i cant drive a car back from england so yeah....

daddy and mommy never gave me money well they gave me 1200$ for my first car and since 16 ive worked and now at 19 have no debt what so ever, 401k, and a healthy savings account. People just need to learn how to budget its not hard and can be done simply if you dont **** away money. I'm sick of people bitching how momy and daddy buy kids things its not always the case, dont be mad you cant save and have the nicer things

 

ah well flying free would be a nice opportunity, you should have said ability to fly anywhere FREE because anyone can fly... and yeah I've drove out of state for my past couple cars just to save a couple grand...enjoy the road trips and getting to know my new car
