I would thoroughly recommend against an auto to manual conversion. It took my buddy and I about 20 hours to fully convert the car (91 DA Integra), and that was only us two doing work on the car for the majority of the conversion. I will never do another AT/MT conversion....period...

But if you want to, there are tons of people here who can help!! Good luck maign!

And once again it's a 92, not a 90 or 91

How much does it cost to do an automatic to manual swap, parts only?

Just wondering if it would be feasible to take out an automatic transmission and go manual if the automatic transmission goes bad and needs a rebuild.

Doesn't really matter to me since I already have a 5-speed, just wondering for other peoples situations though.

It is not that hard...just take ur time.
make sure u have all the parts ready before u do the swap. go junkyard find a donor car to make life easier.

one thing to watch out is the weird cluth line is the fitting one end is 10mm on slave and 12 mm on the clutch reservor.
get a stainless steel line with proper fitting will solve the problem!

and good luck with the conversion!

Parts should be anywhere from 500-700 depending where ya shop. Not including starter, axle, etc.

if your just swapping the tranny your stock ecu will work fine just unplug the TCU and your good to go, with OBD2 cars you have to find a 5spd ECU off the same model car. as far as wiring you just have to put the shifter switch into the park position and just leave it alone and your done. the h23 has shorter gearing than a f22 tranny so thats something you might want to think about.

i did it and parts came out to be like 600. i spent another 300 on a good clutch w/ boost plans in mind. its not that difficult just time consuming, if you think an auto to manual conversion is so hard that you recommend not doing it than you most not be very mechanically inclined.

heres a detailed how to w/ pics on the manual conversion that i helped create... http://board.hondasociety.com/...11635

why waste money on having a ss line made when stock parts work fine, even after bypassing the clutch dampener.

all stock parts
