Default manual swap: pictures of welding necessary for shifter?

i hope that explains it. Can someone show me their shift lever? i understand it needs to be welded at the chassis, id like to see what needs to be done.

i don't think you need to weld it - i believe you just need to drill 2 holes and bolt it down, just like it comes from the factory

You don't need to weld anything.

hmm, well i got an auto now. if i just go get the shifter i need the upper and lower plates right? im missing something.

B series connects to the trans a little differently, basically just a bolt no bracket. If your doing a swap, if not don't worry.

ah ok, i c now. On my 99 things were ?different? *or it was 5 years ago and my mind is going*, i think i understand now. I got a PILE of linkages when i got my swap, i didnt realize it was setup this way. thanks for the pic, that helps a lot.

On b series transmission there is no #17, the bolt just hooks right to the trans.
