Default Odyssey knock sensor location

Where is the knock sensor on a 2001 Odyssey located? I have an engine code that says the sensor is faulty and I would like to replace it. I thought I had found it but after examining the new knock sensor I realized that what I had found was a different sensor. So if any one knows exactly where on the engine that the knock sensor is located I would appreciate it.

Default Re: Odyssey knock sensor location (odyssey2001)

It's underneath the intake manifold. I've seen knock sensor codes on quite a few MDX's and some TL's, which also use the J-series motor. In every case I've run into so far, the problem was in the subharness going to the sensor rather than the sensor itself. For some very strange reason, mice try and make a home in the engine bay and choose that particular wire to chew on. I know it sounds like BS but I've run into it more times than I can count. Anyway, if you remove the upper intake plenum you'll be able to see the harness and sensor. It's behind/below the front fuel rail towards the passenger side.

Thanks. I have removed the intake manifold and I think I see the sensor and it might even have the wire broken loose. At least I think I see a sensor with a little stub of wire attached to it though I don't see the other end of the wire danging around. It looks like replacing the sensor and the wires are beyound my abilities.
