Default Q about P30 ECU and chipped P28 ECU

ok so im throwing the code for knock sensor and that check engine light is getting on my nerves, my engine is the B16a2 in my 92 civic DX and I have the P30 ECU, I have heard that running the chipped P28 would eliminate the knock sensor problem, is this true. Thanks

Well, a p30 will look for you to have a knock sensor. If you chip the p30 or get a chipped p28, you can disable the knock sensor. So, if you don't have one, you won't throw a code.

Chipping'll run you like 60 on the p30, chipped p28 will cost 150, but you can always sell the p30 for whatev.

Yeah, if you sell the p30 you'll get the chipped p28 for not much difference if any.
