gsr crank in b20???????

Default gsr crank in b20???????

i was told from a friend that a gsr crank in a b20 block would allow you to rev higher in exchange for a little tourqe....ive never heard of this....any familiar with this set up?? are there any benefits?....any and all info will help, thanx

you might gain some on the top end but will loose some on the low end

There is other ways to get topend w/o destroking it i like the b20/ls cranks better personally.

You will lose a little power with the gsr crank but it will carry the powerband a little better up top.

Engines should be built to application, vehicle weight, desired rev limit, where in the rev range you want the most power, longevity etc. etc.

The b20 block GSR crank is a great idea. The GSR/ITR cranks are made a little differently from the 89mm cranks and are a little stronger. For most street applications the 89mm cranks work just fine, but for high revving explosions, i think GSR/ITR are the way to go.

The dyno sheet is down because this is an old thread but I believe it was around ~220whp with a nice flat torque curve around ~150 foot pounds.
