I use Eagle Rods in my LS/VTEC. You can usually pick them up for around $300-350

Eagle rods are a cheaper alternative rod to some of the main companies out their, but don't get me wrong, they offer a great bang for the buck and as long as you use them right you don't have to worry, I'd pick up a set of them, i think some sponsors are selling them for about 290? or so. More information about your setup might help, you might not even need a stronger rod if your building just an LS Vtec, but if you're boosting or something or want to be able to spray etc. you should def pick up a set.

Eagles, i got mine for under $300 on Ebay over a year ago. They're good enough rods, just install them correctly and they're very stout. Avoid the 5/16" rod bolts though, get the 3/8".
