Type R cam question
Alright I have a del Sol(hints my username) and I got the b16 version(VTEC). Well I was wondering if the JDM Type R intake cam could work off using the stock valve train.
Would this work if I am going to keep the stock rev (8100).
I need to change cam seal, so I wanted to throw in the Type R cam to mess around with.
Thanks

alright. I was just checkin to see if I wasn't going to expletive my engine.
Would any of you know if I would notice any power gains from using the stock valvetrain w/ the intake cam.

As long as you rev 8k. But I had the ITR intake cam and wasn't satisfied. Sold it and plan on going BC3+

what about GSR cams? would they make any difference at all, since they are almost brand new cams. or is the lift big enough to make a difference?
I saw the comparison chart between all stock VTEC cams and the GSR and B16 specs were the same...
Others have argued that the GSRs are more aggressive but IMO, if I didn't feel much of a difference between ITR, the GSR probably doesn't do jack ****

but dont bc3+ need new vt, just get the itr or ctr intake cam, you will feel a difference, esp if you already have the norm i/h/e

I know. But I'm hoping the numbers/butt dyno is better with the BC3+. If more money for valvetrain is what it will require, so be it!

I got I/H/E. and a VAFC. So I think they would accompany the cam nicely. I mean I need to install a new cam seal, and adjust valves. I dont really wanna throw in new VT since I am selling my car soon.
But if I am tuning up, why just not throw a ITR cam in there for a few extra ponies, then swap it over to my next engine. oooh the fun awaits
