Is removing a layer out of the headgasket reliable?

Default Is removing a layer out of the headgasket reliable?

b16a with stock headgasket. is it reliable to remove the center layer out of it to raise compression? I think $130 is quite high for a 2layer gasket.

yep.. no problems at all with removing a layer.. just torque the head down in a couple more steps to insure it's evenly torqued.. i always recommend 5 compared to the 3 standard steps..
