Yeah i got an automatic ls 98 and wanna make it ls/vtec. i heard its tough but it can be done with the jdm ecu thats very hard to find but ill find it, also a vtec controller. besides that and the gsr head what else will i need? and please dont say to do a manual swap cause thats already out of the question. thanks

 

just out of curiousity, why the hell do you want a AT ls/vtec ?

 

maybe cause its faster...? and i dont have any money for a manual swap, and ls/vtec is basically the only thing that can be done to my automatic to make it a little faster. but seriously man if you aint gonna help then dont post.

You have to put GSR or even B16s tranny. With out it all you do is nothing !!!!! on your place now I would sell your LS and on that money would get a 94 - 96 GSR. Sorry but I dont really see any point in automatic tranny .... its sucks

 

my ls is salvaged so im not gonna get more than 3000 for it... if you can find me a decent gsr for 3000 then let me know....

 

Im not trying to be mean man but this is the most unpractical idea ever.
One of the key things an ls/vtec has is a good tranny. You have a lot of homework to do, trannies arent just 5spd and auto, theres something called gear ratios.

p.s. for 3 grand you can make a homemadeturbo kit that would be more practical.

 

ok 3 grand for the turbo kit, but i just sold my car to get the 3 grand so what would the turbo be going on? and turbo + automatic = boom.
