putting together a turbo kit?
what parts do i need in order to put together my own turbo kit for a 1990 std civic hatch? its the stock d15b1.
i dont want to buy a kit because im broke. i heard that making your own kit is cheaper too. what would i need to make it all work as a bolt on turbo kit?

Have you converted to MPFI yet and got rid of that worthless 4spd? If the answer is no then start there. There really isnt any point in turboing a car that has dual point injection and a tranny that cant keep you in your power band. If you have I would suggest checking out http://www.homemadeturbo.com or search for DIY or Junkyard turbo setups on here.

im doing my own homemadeturbo.com inspired kit and i got all the parts i needed for $300
plus you already have a manifold
yes i would reccomend the same with getting an si tranny and going mpfi, although there is a dpfi turboed on homemadeturbo.com in the turbo projects section.
good luck.

Actually he doesnt, the turbo style manifold is only on the 88-89 stds. 90-91 are one piece and cat under the car.

$300.00?! If possible could you list your parts? I'm currently putting together my own junkyard kit, and my projected costs are well over that amount
