Default Kit or piece together

I'm in the process of buying a peakboost kit, but i've been wondering if it would be cheaper to piece together a kit. I have everything except the turbo, turbo manifold, wastegate,blow-off, intercoooler, piping, couplers

Appreciate

so you basically have nothing.
You can piece a kit together cheaper, but buying a packaged kit is easier.

I pieced my setup together...if i was to do it over again, i would buy a partial "kit" from a company because i dont want all that they have to offer....i'm not hardcore about using the stock T3/T4 stuff anymore....other than that, the kits from companies like PeakBoost are a good idea

piece together your own kit so you have everything you want

peakboost's kit is expensive as **** for what you get

The only reason I would ever support not putting together your own setup is if you don't have the ability to fab, and you don't know someone that can tune the setup reliably. Aside from that, the cost of putting together your own setup is far cheaper, plus you have the option to choose what components you want.

Kits are quick and easy though, and they take all the guesswork out of the picture if your unsure of yourself.

x2

thats the thing i like about a kit rather then piecing it all together is how everything bolts right up nice and easy. im in the process of putting my pieced together turbo kit on and its kind of been a bitch because alot of things arent lining up or fitting together properly. but besides the headache of that, you could probably piece it together for much cheaper and use the parts that you want/need for your setup

I pieced together my turbo kit and saved over $1000 compared to my friend who bought his drag turbo kit, but during the install, the manifold didn't match up completely with the turbo so I had a small opening where exhaust gas would escape and would smell up the inside of the car. Plus other small things that having bought a complete kit would have made the install go smoother. When it comes time to put a turbo on my car again, I think I'll piece it together again.
