thinning primer?

Default thinning primer?

im soon going to want to lay some primer with a spray gun im getting from TSC and i know u have to thin out paint so it doesnt dry up in the gun but do u have to do the same with primer?

yes I usally do it 50/50.. but it depends on what brand of paint you are using.. I use ppg... if using the cheaper stuff that is already cut pretty bad I use very little.. but you must have a eye for it

you just have to put extra coats on... you can never thin to much because you can always add more primer

You reduce it so it will spray correctly, have your ever tried to spray paint straight out of the can? It doesn't work, it has nothing to do with drying in the gun, paint will dry in your gun with reducer in it.

You can reduce it to much because it will flash(dry) in your gun and you'll be fucked by the time you get enough on your panel.

Mixing parts is on the can, if your not sure about how much of what you should put into what call your paint rep and they will usually help you out.
