can i use this without hurting the motor or anything?

get it chipped and change it to a 5 speed....its pretty easy

 

from what i heard all u have to do is cut this resistor inside the ecu, its the only difference between the two

Question anaswered. No need to chip, just move the jumper.

 

i drove my d15b with an auto p28 for almost a year, no problems except for the auto sensor CEL being on all the time. also the CEL doesnt put the car into limp mode, so vtec still activates.

 

In the link it says to remove resistors brom both RP17 and RP18 and put a Jumper wire in RP18. In the picture it looks like RP18's resistor was replaced with a different resistor. Do you just use a small wire or do you have to buy something else?
