93 honda civic Coupe 5 speed Tranny probleme!
Hey, i have a 93 honda civic coupe..... 5 speed manual and it just recently has started making a really odd grinding noise when in gear, in neutral. it doesnt make it when clutched. took it to a few places said the bearings are bad, buddy said its the throw out bearing. i dont know jack squat about trannys. any advise words of wisdom or lit. would be greatly appreciated. also there are 178,000 miles on it. ALSO! if anyone have a tranny they would like to sell me let me know.
Specs- 93 civic coupe 178000 miles, 5 speed tranny. Non v-tech. - although it says its a EX and it have power everything.... however the valve cover doesnt have vtech on it- very concerned about that..... thanks

Throw out bearing is where the clutch meets. You dont need a new tranny just a new clutch. With a clutch kit theyll supply the throw out bearing, but if you just want a regular throw out i think there 20 - 40 bucks from honda.
