Default o2 Heater element circuit question--

Bought a 93 coupe the other day. It throws a code for the 02 heater. The previous owner rounded of the o2 sensor in an attempt to remove it. My question is if I plug a known working o2 sensor into the harness, will that be an easy way to tell me if its the sensor on the car, or if the problem is somewhere else in the circuit? I've checked the sensor with the multimeter per the manual and it is out of spec. Im not that great at diagnosing wiring problems yet so thanks for the help. Any tips on getting that damn o2 out? Its completely rounded off.

well if you plug a working one in the socket and put it in the exhaust system that will tell you... i always get the heater code when i remove mine for the test pipe. I say replace the 02 sensor

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by blownEG93 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">I've checked the sensor with the multimeter per the manual and it is out of spec. </TD></TR></TABLE>
that means the O2 is bad, it's time to replace it.
Why even question the wiring?

vise grips and some arm strength work good to get out stripped O2 sensors.
