Default 98 civic cx hatchback

OK. this car has the cat right at the exhuast manifold. companys dont sell a header for it or a exhaust. only the cx has this problem. if i took the exhuast manifold and cat off a dx would i have any problems putting it on the cx? if this works I can get a dam exhaust. im not ghetto so im not going to have a custom exhuast on it. i want a cat-back. let me know ASAP

I have a 98 DX and the cat was in the front of the engine. When i done my swap i had a cat put under the car. But as Far as the CX goes it is the same as the DX. They are both infront of the Engine

Just get a performance header for an EX and use the EX cat. The cat back exhaust will need to be modified to fit though unless you throw the Cat in the garbage.

The exhaust manifold studs are the same for the CX, DX, HX and EX.

i have a dx and its roughly the same as that motor and the ex header works....just have to add a cat right after, you can extend the 02 wires no problem and there you go, you will be surprised how much of a difference this makes on the car, but reemmber they are made for vtec cars so the power band is gona be higher up......with header exahust and few other thing the car pull at say 4000 on....pretty strongly....

yeah...undercar cat, cut and flange the catback and obtain an ex header (lightspeed old school) or apexi) then extend th o2 wires. other than the bolt on basics...dont invest to much in the y7 head tho.... y7 intake manifold and head is barely adequate for a micro machine. go y8 head. my old y7 head ported flowed less than the y8 head stock, b4 i got that ported too....imagine what happens when you port and cam a y8 head? your deep into dohc vtec territory.
