I have had sp8000's and re730's and see no difeerence in them drag racing. However,I never lower the tire pressure.

I run a set of 712's (205/40/17)....they do one of two things at the track: 1. Slip/spin all the way though 1st, 2nd and 1/2 way through 3rd, or......
this:

, but I DO love them for the street (they provide great grip on the twisties!)

I drive a differ car, but w/ 205/55/15 712s i could get 2.1x 60' all day long. Now I have 205/50/15 Azenis's and all i do is wheel hop through 1st gear

why are you even runing such a crapy tire? im sorry dude but that cheap *** kumho has nothing to do with you breaking an axle. im suprised you can get any traction with those things.

I used them this weekend at the dragstrip and cut a 2.2 60 foot but they spin and hop like mad. For drag racing they aren't the best but for a street tire they do well.

I'd be interested to know why you blame your Kumho's for a snapped axle?

jdmeg6 is right, they suck ***. I don't know why you'd even consider running those tires, even for street use. $10 tires are going to perform like $10 tires. If you want better 60' times, buy drag radials. At the very least, run R compound competition tires, even though they have stiff sidewalls, they at least have a very sticky trread compund which'll help your times. You can spin all day long with cheap tires, or hook-up nicely with drag radials or competition tires.

no, they aren't $hitty tires at all. They aren't the best drag tire (they can cut decent times, I could pull 2.2X's with them on my GSR with open diff), but they are AWESOME in the wet, and good for daily driving. Some people don't want to run on R compound tires all day long.

I loved my A520's, but the treadwear wasn't too great.
