Can someone recommend a good place to buy this? Manhonda has it for $81, seems to be the lowest I have seen so far

 

thats honestly the lowest ive seen it...some places are trying to get away with charging $250.00 for that piece...

 

get it from man honda jdm honda parts is to expensive for that particular item i think the lower i saw it was for the 81 dollars also.

I paid $90 for mine at the dealership. $81 is a good price

 

from the photos on jdmhondaparts.com and manhonda.com, i can see a subtle difference between the two lips. do my eyes deceive me? the one on jdmhondaparts.com seems to be shaped more like the si's stock lip where the bottom flares up in the the center. however, the lip on manhonda.com seems to go straight across at the bottom. perhaps jdm vs usdm...

trey, you got your lip at a dealership? yours looks more like the one on jdmhondaparts.com. did you just ask for the lower chin spoiler for your year?

does anyone know if either of these lips stated to fit 96-98 civics will also fit a 99-00?

i got my lip from a Honda dealership here in Socal and it is identical to the SiR lip they sell on JDMHondaparts.com. I paid about $100 at the dealership so the price they're charging is a bit much. Also, the 96-98 lips do not fit 99-00 Civics.

 

that is the lowest you will find that bad boy for, jdmhondaparts has that same thing for like 300 or something outragous. And it will only fit the 96-98 front bumpers, 99-00 will need minor modifications to make it fit, but it can be done

what type of modifications are needed to get that lip to fit on a 99-00? have you done that on your hatch?

 

i havent done it, i have a 98 civic with the sir lip, but there was a thread on h-t before that talked about putting this lip on a 99-00 civic with a few pics thrown in just for good measure

What all bolts are required to fit this front spoiler on?

 

my friend got his here at a local honda dealer for 75 bucks and it came with all the hardware...so i guess that is where i would recommend.

 

I just placed my order for one... $76 + $10 for shipping UPS Ground. Did yours come with all the bolts to mount it?

The lip is from a 97 DX as an option. You can get it from any Honda Parts counter. Comes with all mounting hardware.

ok 96-98 ek..can use a siR front lip..i paid 110$ u.s .it came with all the hardware.....99-2000..can use the si coupe front lip..which is a bit more money.....it is they same one that sheng used on shaq..and the same one that miguel use's on siisi..etc.......dude all the daily drivers with carbon fiber front lips..are more paranoid then black sabbath...i hit road kill on purpose with my sir front lip..it keeps falling off....i hit ish on purpose...and i still dont care..hahahahahah...i hit something then bolt it right back on......instant party just add 110$ u.s

 

well, i couldn't find the thread for installing the sir ek4 lip on a ek9, but i went to hparts.com and downloaded the install instructions for the sir lip install and the si lip install. i think the sir lip should bolt right up to my 00. both ek4 and ek9 bumpers have 11 holes underneath the fascia. the sir lip utilizes all 11 holes for the install. you install 9 front bumper bolts and two flange bolts, which go into the far left and right holes. the si lip uses the same front nine holes, but then you use 2 self tapping screws on each side in the wheel well. those two flange holes are not utilized on the si lip install... i think it will work. i think i'm going to attempt it. if so, i'll take pictures and try to figure out how to post images. i'd rather use the sir lip because it's more subtle and i like the idea of the unpainted black on my black hatch. plus, i won't be "paranoid like black sabbath"!!
