Default What fuel pressure should i be running? My second problem is fuel pressure regulator doesn't want to

I have a 99 LS that's running an Ls stock bottom end and a Vtec Type R head 98 spec. it's N/A, but has lots of mods just to name a few, skunk2 air intake manifold, 65mm throttlebody, weapon R throttle rotor, CAI, Fuel rail, fuel pressure regulator, vtec controler, DC 4-1 jdm headers, Apexi N1 exhaust, sunauto ground wire, Aem fuel filter, still running stock fuel pump, jdm type R ECU not chipped. I plan on going turbo pretty soon thats the reasons for most of these mods...

Not sure what the problem you're dealing with is, as for what pressure, not 100% sure but I believe stock is somewhere around 30-40 PSI, I personally wouldn't take it above 50 PSI, higher pressure will make the fuel come out in a finer mist, but it will also cause more wear on the injectors because they have to open and close about (what maybe 2000 times a minute at cruising speed) and excessive pressure will wear them out considerably faster. If I missed what you're problem is let me know.

Well I give it gas and it gets going, but feels like it's dying on me... sometimes it even back fires as Iam shifting into 2nd. With major HP loss...it's noticable...

Whew, lots of possibilities, could be timing related, could be your TPS sensor, fuel injectors, are you throwing any codes?

m coop, you have no dea what yer talking about. and jdm bones, there is a single mod you have that u need for boost. go back to stock on EVERYTHING and the car will run good. my ls/vtec has a sock fuel rail, injectors, regulator, filter fuel pump, everything. she ran great. you dont need any of that crap. oh and stock fue pressure is around 45 psi. you dont need ANY MORE THAN THAT under 10 psi of boost wit the correct injectors and tune.

have a nice day

OK do tell? What did I have wrong? I told him nothing over 50 PSI, you said 45, sounds pretty close to me. And dude said his car is NA, what are you talking about boost for?
