port n polish?
i am going to have my head milled this week and since it is already off my gsr i was wondering if a port n polish be worth it? and by that i mean would my stock valve springs, valves, and all that hold up?
While you have it appart, porting is definately worth it especially if you are planning on installing a upgraded camshaft. You should also have the valve springs tested to ensure they are with in spec. If you are still running aftermarket camshafts, the vavle train will need to be upgraded accordingly.
well i do have the money but the question is do you belive the stock valves, springs and what not would hold up? i have the stock cams so that is why i am asking this question

as long as you keep the rpm within what honda put it at, yes the valve train will be good...BUT you have to remember when gettin a port you're advised to upgrade the cams to take full advantage of the port...obviously with cams comes the need of springs/retainers....you could stick with the stock valves through all of this...
